All that is Gold Does Not Glitter

My fancy fancy backpack arrived today. I played with opening and closing all of the pockets. Two weeks is not a lot of time to spend living out of a thing, but I'm a bit concerned about getting all of the variable weather gear into it. The temperature variations in the Gobi are kind of hard for me to nail down at the moment. The average high is 70 and the average low is 40, but how much does that vary from day to day. At the moment it sounds like it could be a drier new England in the spring. Though we're supposed to bring rain gear.

I'm going to go to our local retailer of camping goods rather than REI tomorrow. Those are my big memorial day plans.

I'm hoping to get that high tech quick dry underwear! It's the little things.
