It was a good movie, but not necessarily a fun movie. I'm probably going to be in the minority on this one, and that is ok. I don't have a lot of emotional nostalgia for Wonder Woman. I remember reruns of the show playing in the same block with Battle Star Galactica. Battle Star Galactica won hands down on that front.
Ultimately, I felt like the end left Diana with no big wins for the movie. She might come to appreciate the human dilemma. The good and evil intertwined in every person. But she killed the wrong man in her pursuit of Mars, and her love interest died a hero, and her continuing quest would never be finished.
I wish that Steve Trevor had survived that moment. That he would have lived long enough to die before the continuing DC saga.
I'm tempted to write fix it fic, but it would mean neglecting my original fiction. It feels like the book might actually be coming together.
